To integrate SerpWatch with Zapier, you need a Zapier Catch Hook. To create one, you have to be signed in to your Zapier account. After signing in, click on the ‘Make a Zap!’ button in the top right corner.
- Type “webhook” in the input field and choose “Webhooks by Zapier”.
- After that, select “Catch Hook” from the dropdown that appears.
- Click “Continue”.
The following screen shows the URL to your Zapier webhook. Click “Copy”.
In a new tab, navigate to the SerpWatch notification modal.
- Make sure Zapier is on.
- Paste the webhook URL in the input box.
- Click “Send sample to Zapier”.
You should now see a success message in the upper right corner.
Now go back to the Zapier editor, and click “Continue”.
On the screen that appears, click “Test & Continue”.
Now you will be prompted to create an event. In this example, we’ll be using the webhook to create a new task in Asana, based on the webhook payload.
- Type “asana” in the input field and choose “Asana”.
- After that, select “Create Task” from the dropdown that appears.
- Click “Continue”.
On the next screen, authorize Zapier to use your Asana account. Then click “Continue” and customize the task; i.e. choose the data that you’re going to send to Asana and which fields will be used for it. Once you’re done with that, click “Continue” then “Test & Continue” on the screen that appears. If all is well, you should see a success message similar to the one below.
Click “Done Editing” at the bottom of the modal and then “Turn Zap On” on the screen that appears.
To test if your Zap works, navigate back to the SerpWatch notifications modal and click “Test Zapier”.
If this returns a success message, your SerpWatch integration with Zapier is working.
